The Next Step: Finding Opportunity Beyond Closed Doors – It Could Lead to a New Path.
(Approx 1 minute 30 second read)
We’ve all been there. Sometimes, you just need to close a door – not because you’re too proud, incapable, or arrogant, but because it simply doesn’t take you where you need to go.
The feeling that not every door that opens is worth walking through. Sure, some might look promising at first, but they don’t always lead to where we want to be.
In fact, some doors can lead us in circles or waste our time. And sometimes, the hardest but most necessary choice is to walk away and shut that door behind us.
It’s important to close the door on the past, yes, the memory will probably always be there. But don’t waste energy trying to forget your mistakes – after all, we learn from them.
So don’t let those past mistakes control you, either. Don’t give them your time, your energy, or your space. The past is done. It can’t change, and it shouldn’t have a hold on your present. If we’re constantly looking behind us, we miss what’s right in front of us.
Closing a door doesn’t mean that it’s the end. It’s just the point where you pause, take a breath, and turn the page. Sometimes, we get so focused on what we’re leaving behind that we forget the opportunity that lies ahead.
When you close a door, it doesn’t lock you in place. It frees you to move forward. It creates space for the next step, the next chapter.
For me, I’ve decided it’s time to move through a different door. I don’t know exactly where it leads, but I trust that it’s the right direction. It’s time to find out. I feel it in my gut – the need to see where this new path might go.
So, if there’s a door in your life that’s no longer opening to anything real or worthwhile, don’t hesitate to close it. Let go of what doesn’t serve you. You’re not abandoning anything; you’re just clearing space for something better to come in. The next door, the next opportunity, could be exactly what you need.
And just remember the WD40, in case that door you’re trying to open hasn’t been opened for a while.
